What does the evidence show?
Why it is Unproven
The metro's 2024-25 annual report lists 1,589 work opportunities, against a target of 1,000. No one outside the metro has checked this figure. The Auditor-General audited only the metro's basic service figures, not this one. In the same report, it found two of the metro's housing counts did not match the proof.
