What does the evidence show?

Why it is Verified

Officials approved the invoice for new cameras, but the work records show the cameras were only repaired. The Auditor-General calls this a material irregularity. A material irregularity is the Auditor-General's name for a broken law or duty that caused, or may cause, a big loss or serious harm. It says this one will likely cause a money loss unless the overpayment is paid back. It told the metro on 31 October 2025. The metro's head official did not reply in writing in time.
