What does the evidence show?

Why it is Verified

Sewage works clean wastewater before it goes back into rivers. In July 2022 the Auditor-General's acting Gauteng leader, Dorothy Rampopo, named the Rooiwal works as the cause. The Auditor-General's 2024-25 records list only one Tshwane case of harm to the public. They call it pollution of water sources and say it was first raised with the City on 15 December 2021. We take it to be the Rooiwal case, because it is the only one and was raised months before the 2022 reports. We did not find what the Auditor-General asked the City to do.
