What does the evidence show?
Why it is Verified
The Auditor-General's 2024-25 report names eThekwini for each of these findings. In November 2024 it sent the metro a formal notice about poor toilets at the KwaDabeka transit camp. By February 2025 the metro had repaired the toilet blocks and put in chemical toilets. It added two permanent toilet buildings in November 2025. The Auditor-General says more action is being taken to fully fix the problem.
